Jerry Jones’ grandson, John Stephen Jones, getting Division 1 offers

Grandson of Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys , John Stephen Jones, lands two offers

John Stephen Jones is best known for being the grandson of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. But he’s also a darn good high school quarterback for Highland Park High School in Dallas, and now that road is leading to Division 1 scholarship offers.

Jones tweeted out that two schools — Davidson and Jacksonville University — have extended offers.

Last year as a junior, Jones completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 3,017 yards with 30 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed in four more touchdowns and led Highland Park to a 14-2 overall record and eventually a Texas 5A DI title, which he won in front of over 35,000 fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

If the senior quarterback continues to have similar success this year, we’d be surprised if he doesn’t receive more interest from other schools. Though, at this time the 5-foot-10, 175-pounder hasn’t garnered much interest at all from the three schools — Arkansas, Texas and Vanderbilt — he’s listed.
