Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott looking to make NFL history Sunday

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will be on the field when his team travels to take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He will also have an opportunity to join Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in making NFL history during the game.

Should Elliott record 80-plus rushing yards in the game, it would be the 16th consecutive time he has accomplished this feat. That would break Hall of Famer Marcus Allen’s record.

To say that these two young Cowboys have lit it up early in their careers would be an understatement. In Week 1’s win over the New York Giants, Prescott completed 24-of-39 passes for 268 yards and a touchdown. He has now put up 30 total touchdowns compared to four interceptions in 17 starts.

On the other hand, Elliott went for 140 total yards in the blowout win. In 17 regular season games, the former Ohio State star has put up an absurd 2,134 total yards.

Needless to say, both young men should make history in Mile High come late Sunday afternoon.
