Adam Gase doesn’t mince words, calls Dolphins’ offense ‘garbage’

Dolphins head coach Adam Gase did a tremendous job in his first season.

Adam Gase isn’t pleased with his team’s offensive effort. The Miami Dolphins’ coach made no attempt to hide that fact when asked about it on Monday.

Well, then. Why don’t you tell us how you really feel?

Gase did lead Miami to the playoffs in 2016, his first year as the team’s head coach. But a season ago, the Dolphins were 24th in yards per game and 17th in points per game.

Miami had a decent season opener in 2017, but still only scored 19 points in a win over the Los Angeles Chargers. On Sunday, the Dolphins needed an 80-yard drive as time was expiring to not only avoid getting shut out, but also to go over the 200 total yard barrier against a bad New York Jets team.

So, while Gase’s assessment might seem harsh, it’s hard to argue when looking at the objective facts.
