It was a great catch, but it wasn’t the greatest we’ve ever seen. However, we haven’t seen many catches as gutsy as than the one made by Toronto Blue Jays centerfielder Kevin Pillar against Chicago Cubs star Kris Bryant on Sunday.
Bryant appeared to have extra bases in the bag on a deep drive to center. But Pillar made a tremendous leaping grab, crashing into Wrigley Field’s famed ivy … and the brick wall behind it.
He just ran into a brick wall.

While Pillar was banged up, we can be thankful that his lower body bore most of the collision with the wall. Pillar remained in the game, as well. So, he appears to have come out of the collision unscathed.
