Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Votaze Burfict is infamous for making unusually dirty plays against opposing offensive players.
Already in attack mode, Burfict made a dirty hit on his own teammate, running back Giovani Bernard, in a padded practice today.

It was not too surprising that a scuffle between multiple Bengals teammates broke out.
Giovani Bernard got tackled by Burfict and it led to a scrum. Players weren't tackling. Gio was okay. It was ignorant move by Burfict. pic.twitter.com/Biq6A2yBe1

Thankfully, according to Rapien, Bernard was okay after the hit. Tackling opposing team players is one thing. But, brutally going after one of his own teammates was just plain wrong by Burfict. This is especially true because Bernard is coming off a torn ACL suffered last November.
We’re not sure what Burfict was thinking, or if he even was at all during Tuesday’s practice. It took head coach Marvin Lewis to eventually step in and break up the brawling.
