The Seattle Seahawks took to the NFL trade market on Monday, acquiring veteran offensive lineman Matt Tobin from the Philadelphia Eagles.
We have traded a 2018 5th Round pick to Philadelphia for tackle Matt Tobin and a 2018 7th Round pick.

This move comes after Seattle lost starting left tackle George Fant for the season to an injury in a preseason game last week (more on that here).
Tobin, 27, primarily played guard in his four years with Philadelphia, starting a combined 20 games in 2014 and 2015. Though, he made the transition to tackle this summer.
In no way is this an earth-shattering move for a Seahawks team that’s in deep trouble along the offensive line. And in reality, Tobin doesn’t figure to start at left tackle.
At the very least, it was a solid depth move for a squad that lacks any real substance when it comes to protecting Russell Wilson in the passing game.
