PGA pro Rod Pampling was not going to make the cut anyway. So rather than get disqualified for coming in late on his round Friday at the PGA Championship, he did this.
Rod Pampling, with no chance of making the cut, just drove a ball dead left into the trees, possibly on purpose. His partners were laughing.

Beating the darkness.
Sometimes you just need to get the round in before the horn sounds. pic.twitter.com/eznf5wPDzB

Now, if that isn’t the worst shot you’ve ever seen a pro take, we’d love to hear about it.
However, rather than get blasted by people on social media, Pampling was heralded as a hero.

I'm watching the golf live this late, I know, but that shot from Pampling was so hilarious before the buzzer went 😂 #PGAChampionship2017

Pampling finished tied for 131st place with a score of 13 over par. It wasn’t his weekend to shine. But he found a way to do it anyway.
That sound you hear is just us over here giving Pampling a golf clap for his hilarious effort.
