Packers great Jerry Kramer could finally get into the Hall of Fame

Could Packers great Jerry Kramer finally be enshrined in the Hall of Fame?

Former Green Bay Packers guard Jerry Kramer and Houston Oilers linebacker Robert Brazile have been named senior finalists for the 2018 Hall of Fame class.

Kramer, a five time First Team All-Pro, was named to the All-1960’s First Team by the Hall of Fame. The guard was a fixture of early Packer championship teams, winning titles alongside Bart Starr and Vince Lombardi. However, he was never actually enshrined. Given that his candidacy is being reconsidered, it seems that could change soon.

Many consider Kramer the best player in the history of the NFL not currently in the Hall of Fame. To a lot of old-timers, this has been a long time coming. Kramer has been a finalist for Canton a whopping 10 times and he’s a member of the NFL’s All 60s Team.

We’ll find out who gets in next February, prior to Super Bowl LII. Other controversial names, such as Terrell Owens, will also be up for debate.
