Dodgers’ OF Andre Ethier sells near $5 million Arizona mansion

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier may be sidelined with a back injury. He’s also seen his career take a turn for the worse in recent seasons. The 35-year-old is hitting just .208 with one homer and two RBI in 16 games on the season.

In no way does this mean Ethier’s life off the baseball diamond isn’t aces.

The veteran just recently sold this $4.9 million mansion in Gilbert, Arizona.

And it’s a thing of beauty.

According to AZ Central, this 9,326 square foot mansion includes six bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a batting cage and a soccer field. And there’s photo evidence of that actually being the case.

The outfielder signed a five-year, $85 million deal with Los Angeles back in 2012. Needless to say, he’s put some of that money to good use.

To make matters even more amazing here, Jeff and Sandra Sawyer actually handed over cash for the mansion. No down payment. No mortgage. Straight cash, homey.

It will definitely be interesting to see where Ethier and his family set up shop from here on out. Though, he might want to avoid Los Angeles. The veteran is a free agent after the 2017 season and is unlikely to be retained. Besides, nearly $5 million won’t buy year anywhere near this in Southern California.
