Devonta Freeman fully cleared from his concussion

The Atlanta Falcons will see the return of running back Devonta Freeman, who’s been in the NFL’s concussion protocol since the middle of August.

Since entering the NFL as a fourth-round pick out of Florida State in 2014, Freeman has become one of the league’s most dangerous running backs. The past two years he tallied 3,175 yards and 27 touchdowns, earning himself a huge payday this summer (details here).

Now he’ll have well over a week to get back into the flow of the offense, just in time for the team’s Week 1 contest against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 10.
