Big beefs don’t often stem from NFL preseason games. But as Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall and Philadelphia Eagles receiver Bryce Treggs have proven, it can happen.
In the preseason opener between the two teams, Treggs leveled Randall with a block (which you can see here), giving Randall a concussion. Treggs was fined for the hit and predictably wasn’t too pleased.

But Randall wasn’t about to let Treggs off the hook.

Treggs later defended his actions on Twitter.

The hit can certainly be debated. In a bygone era, it would have been fine. But in today’s game with an increased emphasis on concussion prevention, hits like that are being legislated out.
Unfortunately, the Packers and Eagles won’t meet in the regular season. It’s too bad. We wouldn’t mind seeing this Twitter spat settled on the field.
