Chargers to pay for free tattoos for fans in Los Angeles

Chargers

The latest in the Los Angeles Chargers’ efforts to entice new fans and retain current ones is pretty interesting.

Free tattoos, anyone? The Chargers are offering to pay for any Chargers’ themed tattoos between 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Los Angeles’s Shamrock Social Club, according to a report.

“It’s just one way to show our appreciation for the fans, and to let them know that we’re always thinking creatively about how they can put their hand up and say they love the Chargers,” Jeffrey Pollack, a Chargers special adviser said, per Sam Farmer of The Los Angeles Times.”

The Chargers got off to a rocky start at their new venue at Stub Hub Stadium last Sunday evening. After a successful scoring drive led by Philip Rivers, who hit up Antonio Gates for a touchdown, everything went down the toilet.

The Seattle Seahawks mopped the floor with the Chargers, ultimately winning by the score 48-17 in a game that drew a smaller crowd than a Major League Soccer match in the same venue earlier in the weekend (more on that here).
