Browns reportedly bidding to host NFL Drafts in Canton

NFL draft, Canton, Pro Football Hall of Fame

There’s no official word on where the 2018 NFL Draft will be held after Philadelphia hosted it this year. That came following a two-year run in which Chicago received the honors to host the annual event.

What we do know is that the Cleveland Browns have entered into the bidding to host the 2019 and 2020 NFL Drafts in Canton, the site of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Now, wouldn’t that be pretty awesome? After seeing the draft held in New York City for 50 years (1965-2014), the league has made sure to take advantage of its popularity by moving it around a bit more since.

What better place to welcome in 230-plus new members of the NFL than at a location that houses the greatest to ever take to the gridiron? We’ve seen just how well the annual Hall of Fame induction events have gone in Canton. It’s taking place this weekend for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

If the NFL were smart, it would definitely look into Canton as a viable host city for the 2019 and 2020 drafts. Why the heck not?
