Adam Gase told Jarvis Landry ‘no chance’ Dolphins trade him

Jarvis Landry

The Miami Dolphins were rumored to be taking trade calls on receiver Jarvis Landry, but head coach Adam Gase made it clear there is “no chance” that will happen.

ESPN’s James Walker passed this information along Monday, noting Gase spoke with Landry to let him know the trade rumor was bogus.

This falls in line with another report we covered Sunday evening that contradicted the rumor as well. The Dolphins did receive one trade request last year for the talented receiver but rejected it, per that report.

The team has no intentions of letting the former LSU star go any time soon, despite the fact that there could be a bit of frustration from Landry about his contract (still on his rookie deal).

In his first three seasons, Landry caught 288 passes, which is an NFL record (tied with Odell Beckham Jr.). He’s turned those catches into 3,051 yards and 13 touchdowns and is one of the feistiest possession receivers in the game today. He’ll likely continue to see a heavy workload now that gunslinger Jay Cutler is running the offense in 2017.
