The NBA needs to take a page out of the Turkish Basketball Super League and up the ante when it comes to slam dunk contests. Just check out Philadelphia 76ers rookie Furkan Korkmaz, who won a slam dunk contest in Turkey wearing a Darth Vader mask and cape.

The dunk isn’t necessarily one that would win the NBA All-Star Weekend dunk contest, but you can hardly blame Korkmaz for not being able to get a ton of lift. Wearing a mask and cape doesn’t help with aerodynamics.
The real kicker is when Korkmaz slays what appears to be a representation of Obi-Wan Kenobi, using a classic Sith choke to take him down.
Originally a first-round pick by Philly in the 2016 NBA Draft, Korkmaz spent this past season playing for Banvit B.K., which won the Turkish Cup. Now, he’ll be a member of the FEDS.
Watch out, you rebel scum.
