Former Bills WR James Hardy death ruled suicide

James Hardy was found dead

Former Buffalo Bills receiver James Hardy tragically passed away earlier this year.

According to TMZ Sports, Hardy’s death has since been ruled a suicide by officials in Indiana, noting “the Allen County Coroner said the cause of death is ‘Asphyxia due to drowning.'”

He was discovered on June 7 by a water plant worker, who found Hardy’s body wedged in a log jam in the Maumee River in Indiana. His family had reported Hardy missing a week prior to this awful discovery.

Originally a second-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2008, Hardy spent four years in the NFL. He finished his career with 10 catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Hardy’s family and friends. May he rest in peace.
