Report: Gareon Conley will not be charged with sexual assault

Gareon Conley

Oakland Raiders rookie cornerback Gareon Conley has reportedly been cleared of sexual assault by a grand jury which convened on Monday.

This is obviously the best possible news for the young man, who has claimed all along that he was innocent and had proof to back up his claim.

Conley was a top prospect coming out of Ohio State this spring. However, when news broke right before the 2017 NFL Draft that he was being accused of sexual assault, his stock took a hit. The Raiders, having done their due diligence to investigate his case, took a gamble on Conley at No. 24 overall.

The rookie has recently inked a new contract with the Raiders and should make an immediate impact for his new team.
