When the Carolina Panthers open up training camp next week, star quarterback Cam Newton is expected to be ready to take to the field.

Newton underwent offseason shoulder surgery and missed the entire program during the summer. It has long been antipicated that Newton would be able to return to the field, but this is tremendous news for the Panthers.
Being limited at first likely isn’t a big deal. Newton will work his way into a full-time regiment shortly after camp itself opens.
It’s now all about the Panthers doing what they can to protect their franchise signal caller. Carolina added Matt Kalil in free agency and just released the injured Michael Oher. It remains to be seen whether this reworked offensive line can protect a quarterback in Newton that was hit far too often last season.
At the very least, it doesn’t seem like his shoulder surgery will impact Newton’s availability for Week 1. That’s good news.
