Oregon WR Darren Carrington arrested on DUII charges

Oregon Ducks WR Darren Carrington arrested.

Top Oregon Ducks wide receiver Darren Carrington has found himself in some rather hot water with local authorities in Eugene.

The soon-to-be senior receiver was arrested early Saturday morning on DUII (driving under the influence of intoxicants) charges after crashing his car into a McDonald’s drive-thru shortly after 3:00 a.m. in the morning.

“Carrington was charged with DUII, a Class A misdemeanor, and booked at the Lane County Jail. His court date is set for July 21 at Eugene Municipal Court,” the NFL Network reported on Saturday.

We’re not too sure what this means for Carrington’s future with the Ducks. But he did send out a rather ominous Instagram post after being released from jail.

Carrington led Oregon with 606 receiving yards this past season and was being relied on to be the team’s No. 1 pass catcher in 2017. That’s now clearly up in the air.
