MRI reveals Kings C Georgios Papagiannis suffered bruised booty

Georgios Papagiannis Sacramento Kings Summer League

You don’t often see this type of injury report in the NBA, or any other professional sport, for that matter.

Sacramento Kings center Georgios Papagiannis sustained an injury that forced him to leave the court with some assistance during Friday night’s summer league game against the Phoenix Suns.

An MRI determined that Papagiannis suffered what, in layman’s terms, is a bruised butt.

No doubt, the young man will be the butt of more than a few jokes in the coming days as his teammates razz him to the nth degree over this diagnosis.

In all seriousness, however, we’re just glad he’s okay. And hopefully he doesn’t get too butt-hurt over the jokes.
