Could a friendly wager be in store for two of the top defensive rookies in the NFL this upcoming season? If we we’re to ask Atlanta Falcons first-round pick Takkarist Mckinley this might very well be in the cards.

Mckinley responded to this NFL.com Instagram post that showed rookie No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett working out.

Oh, just Myles Garrett out here leg-pressing humans.

The response in and of itself was absolutely glorious.

“Takkarist Mckinley will have more sacks than Myles.”

Yes, we did the research here. And yes, it was legitimately Mckinley’s verified Instagram account.

To be fair to Garrett, he’s coming off an injury this summer. But he does look to be 100 percent healthy heading into training camp.

Selected No. 26 overall in this year’s draft, Mckinley is expected to play a huge role next to Pro Bowl pass rusher Vic Beasley in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Garrett will be tasked with being the face of a revamped Browns defense. It should be a whole lot of fun watching these two youngsters take to the field for the first time later this summer.
