Browns Isaiah Crowell: ‘We’re going to shock the world’

Isaiah Crowell

The Cleveland Browns had themselves a tremendous 2017 NFL Draft, adding an elite level defensive end and a potential franchise quarterback. It’s definitely a step in the right direction for a Browns team that won a grand total of one game last season.

Though, Cleveland still remains one of the most talent-stricken squads in the entire NFL heading into training camp season later this month. One offseason surely didn’t change that.

But if we were to ask Browns running back Isaiah Crowell, he feels like the team is on the verge of greatness.

“I feel very good about it,” Crowell said, via the Ledger-Enquirer. “I feel like we’re building something special. A lot of people are underestimating us, but I feel like we’re going to shock the world.”

July is a time of unquestionable confidence for teams and players around the league. It’s a new slate for every team. The Browns have the same record as the defending champion New England Patriots.

This will all change in September when teams take to the field for regular season action. Those with a chance at greatness will display their ability on the field. Meanwhile, pretenders such as the Cleveland Browns will once again fall short of expectations. That’s just the way it is.

At the very least, Crowell is showing some moxie here. He has confidence in his team heading into the 2017 season. That can’t be seen as a bad thing.
