The opening round of the 2017 U.S. Open hasn’t gone great for Henrik Stenson. Through 10 holes, the 2016 British Open champion was at 4-over par. That changed on the 11th hole.
Stenson was 152 yards away from the hole on his second shot. Conveniently, he had a club earmarked for exactly that distance. Not only did Stenson hole his second shot for eagle, but he made it on the fly.

Stenson still has a long way to go before we can call him a contender. But even if he does nothing else of note, he’ll always have this lasting memory from Erin Hills.
