The Washington Nationals are in first place, but had a rough day on Thursday. After blowing a late lead and losing to the Chicago Cubs, it was announced that Trea Turner will be out with a broken wrist.
Trea Turner has a broken right wrist. No timetable for a return.

Turner had a slow start to the 2017 season, but had worked his numbers up as the year progressed. He’s slashing .279/.324/.422 with seven home runs and 35 steals.
Washington has one of the deeper offenses in baseball. So, don’t expect the Nats to go into the tank with Turner out. Still, losing the man who’s been the spark plug of the offense will certainly be a detriment to Washington going forward.
