J.R. Smith says Facebook account hacked after ‘Goood Bye CAVS!!’ message

J. R. Smith

J.R. Smith is having some issues with social media. His latest issue came on Wednesday, when someone posted that he was leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers on Facebook.

It was quickly deleted, but not before it could be screen grabbed.

Smith quickly took to Twitter to clarify that he was not leaving the Cavs.

Now, if this sounds familiar, it should. Shortly after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, a “Cavs in 7” tweet was made from Smith’s account. Likewise, that was deleted.

Wednesday’s Facebook post is going to lead to a lot of speculation?

Does Smith know something? Is he a part of a potential deal that would bring either Jimmy Butler or Paul George to Cleveland? Or, was he simply hacked by someone with an apparent tremendous sense of humor?

In the never ending rumor mill that is the NBA, we’re just going to have to wait to find out.
