Eagles waive talented WR Dorial Green-Beckham

The Philadelphia Eagles made a long anticipated move on Friday, waiving talented young wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham. Philadelphia announced the move on Twitter.

Green-Beckham was an original second-round pick of the Tennessee Titans back in 2015, where he recorded 32 receptions for 549 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie. Tennessee then dealt Green-Beckham to the Eagles last August.

Consistently struggling with the NFL route tree and actually catching the football, Green-Beckham fell out of favor with the Eagles relatively quickly. He caught just 36 passes for 392 yards in 15 games (seven starts) last season.

After signing Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery in free agency, it became apparent that Philadelphia was looking to move on from Green-Beckham. Though, the team was likely attempting to find a trade partner before waiving the youngster.

At just 24 years old, it appears the receiver still has a future in the NFL. He’s just going to have to improve leaps and bounds this summer.
