Aaron Donald non-committal about training camp without new deal

Aaron Donald is one of the NFL stars next in line for a huge payday

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald is subtly threatening to hold out of training camp if he doesn’t have a new contract.

Thursday, appearing on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Donald wouldn’t commit to showing up for camp without a new deal.

“Just working, just grinding and we’re going to see what happens, so … All I can do is keep working, keeping myself in top shape and my agent’s going to handle that side of things,” he said.

We already know he’s holding up his end of the bargain, as you can see right here.

Donald is in line to become one of the richest — if not the richest — defenders in the game. And a case could easily be made he deserves that kind of cash. He has recorded eight or more sacks in each of his first three years (28 total), despite spending a great deal of time as an interior defensive lineman.

One of the premier players at any position around the NFL, Donald is definitely sending a message to the Rams right now. Pay up, or else.
