Vikings share video of Teddy Bridgewater on practice field

Teddy Bridgewater

Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer recently expressed optimism regarding the return of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. On Tuesday, the team supplied even more reason for optimism, posting a video of Bridgewater returning to the practice field.

This is certainly a noteworthy story.

Bridgewaer did give reason for optimism in March when he was spotted dropping back and passing. Still, as recently as January, there was strong speculation that the quarterback would miss all of the 2017 season. Returning to the practice field for OTA’s is a tremendous boon to his recovery efforts.

It’s been a long year for Bridgewater. He tore his ACL and other ligaments in an especially gruesome fashion during 2016’s training camp and missed the entire season.

It has to be said that he’s still a long way from returning to the field for actual games. But even still, making his way back to the practice field less than a year after such an ugly injury has to feel great.
