For those who enjoy using Twitter throughout the day and are also football and fantasy football enthusiasts, this news should be exciting.

The NFL and Twitter have just announced a new, multiyear deal that will offer fans NFL and fantasy football-related content all year around.

There will reportedly be three types of programming and on-demand video content that includes 30-minute live shows, live pre-game coverage and video clips.

Representatives from both the NFL and Twitter spoke on the partnership.

“Twitter continues to be an important partner in accessing millions of highly engaged fans on digital media,” said Brian Rolapp, chief media and business officer for the NFL. “We have every expectation that the new daily live show, produced by NFL Network and featuring some of our top analysts, will quickly become some of the most popular programming on Twitter.”

“We are very excited to offer football fans around the world even more content on Twitter from the NFL,” said Twitter COO Anthony Noto. “This new multiyear collaboration will bring compelling live studio programs that discuss what’s happening in the NFL, unique behind the scenes live broadcasts before games, and the best NFL highlights to Twitter, alongside the real-time NFL conversation.”

Regarding the live content, there will reportedly be 30-minute shows five days per week that discuss top storylines and fantasy football projections. Live pre-game coverage will include behind the scenes and sideline interviews according to the report.

This collaboration between the NFL and Twitter provides just one more avenue for fans to receive and watch football-related content for absolutely free.

Not too many folks can complain about that.
