It was recently announced that the grand opening of the new home for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers will be moved back one year to the 2020 season. That news presented one massive consequence, quite apart from the two teams having to wait another year. Namely, it presented the problem of where Super Bowl LV will be played.
Super Bowl LV was scheduled to be played at the new Southern California venue in February, 2021. But the NFL has rules against a venue hosting the Super Bowl in its first year.
The game will no longer be in the new Inglewood Stadium. Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium is reportedly the new front runner and expected to receive the official vote on Tuesday.

This would be the fifth Super Bowl played in Tampa, and the third to be held Raymond James Stadium.
Super Bowl LV is presently the furthest Super Bowl with a venue already named. So, assuming there are no other delays, Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park will likely not have to wait long before it gets to host the big game.
