C.J. Anderson not feeling threatened by addition of Jamaal Charles

Jamaal Charles

The Denver Broncos added veteran running back Jamaal Charles to the mix on Tuesday. A mix that includes last year’s lead running back C.J. Anderson, who has since resumed practicing with his team following a knee injury.

Since the signing, both Charles and Anderson have exchanged niceties via social media.

Anderson was responding to this quote in which Charles said he loved his game.

All seems quite tranquil between the two backs. Although, it is reported that the two will compete for the the No. 1 role this fall, according to Mike Klis of KUSA. Clearly, Anderson isn’t feeling threatened.

Anderson is returning to the field after having a season-ending knee surgery to repair an MCL injury. Charles played in only three games in 2016 having dealt with lingering knee injuries.

The competition between Charles (30) and Anderson, (26) should be an interesting one to follow. For now the two seem to be happy for the opportunity to work with one another.
