Odell Beckham Jr. has been making plenty of news this week, in part because he’s not participating with most of his teammates at OTAs.
Both he and star pass rusher Olivier Vernon have opted not to attend these voluntary workouts. Though based on a comment made by New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo, this isn’t exactly welcome news.
Ben McAdoo: "You want all your guys here, especially the great ones. You coach who's here." #Giants

It sure appears McAdoo is at least a bit frustrated his star receiver isn’t with the team right now.
Of course, we already know what OBJ likely thinks about this. He tweeted out a cryptic message on Wednesday that appeared to be aimed at the media for making up stories out of nothing.
"If they don't have a story these days they'll make one…" I might get that tatted😂😂 #StayTheCourse

Still, Thursday was supposed to be the day the Giants welcomed Beckham Jr. into the fold. Yet he was a no-show amid rumors he was out late at night in Los Angeles cozying up to Iggy Azalea.
Now, the word voluntary is important. Beckham Jr. isn’t obligated in any way to be with his teammates right now.
But what we’re seeing at this point in his career is that, just like last year when he went down to Miami before the wild card game against the Green Bay Packers, OBJ still has yet to figure out what it takes to be a leader in the locker room.
