Is Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt going to be Hollywood’s next big movie star? According to one of the great action stars of all time, Arnold Schwarzenegger, studios can’t wait to get their hands on the NFL star once he decides to hang up his helmet and cleats for good.

“I think that, right now, he’s busy with his athletic career,” Schwarzenegger said, “but when he’s ready for that, I tell you, Hollywood is chomping at the bit to get him into movies and make him one of the next action heroes. He’s already an action hero on the field. It will be very easy for him to be an action hero in the movies. He has the right looks, he has the right body, he has the right personality, he’s very outgoing, he has great talent I think in acting. So I think he’s going to go far.”
It’s hard to find anything wrong with what Scharzenegger is saying here. Watt has already proven himself to be very photogenic and a natural in front of cameras. He’s also one of the most personable stars in the NFL, not to mention one of the most successful.
He’s also been tremendously funny as a pitch man doing commercials.
It’s really not hard to picture Watt doing movies when his NFL career winds down. Thankfully for Texans fans, that’s not going to happen any time soon if he can help it.
