The fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft featured announcements from various people at some special locations. But it’s hard to beat what the Houston Texans did, announcing their selection from outer space.

Astronaut Peggy Whitson — who’s spent more time in space than any American — took a break from the International Space Station and took center stage before sending it to retired astronaut Scott Kelly.

What kind of career Julie’n Davenport will have remains to be seen. But no matter what, his selection will always have an entirely unique story behind it. Nobody else has had part of their picks announced from outer space.
