Report: Warriors targeting Saturday for Kevin Durant return

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant could return to action for the Golden State Warriors as early as Saturday, when they host the New Orleans Pelicans.

This is tremendous news for Durant and the Warriors, who’ve been on an unbelievable hot streak of late. If Durant does return Saturday, as planned, then he’ll get three regular-season games to work himself into game shape before what should be a relatively easy first-round playoff matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers or Denver Nuggets.

And if the Warriors enter the second round of the playoffs at full strength, then the rest of the Western Conference better watch out. They’ll be just as dangerous as everyone thought they could be when Durant first signed.

Recently, Durant was spotted looking very good working out with the team in practice (watch here).

Before getting injured, Durant was averaging 25.3 points, 4.8 assists and 8.2 rebounds per game.
