Report: Marshawn Lynch has agreed to terms with the Raiders

Running back Marshawn Lynch will likely be in an Oakland Raiders uniform next season. According to NFL Media’s Mike Silver, Lynch and the Raiders have agreed to terms on a contract that will set into motion a trade from the Seattle Seahawks.

This isn’t necessarily that big of a surprise. It has been reported for some time now that Lynch would come out of retirement to play for his home-town Raiders. That obviously now seems to be the case.

Seattle and Oakland had agreed to the parameters of a trade with the only real hold up being a contract between the Raiders and the former Pro Bowl running back (more on that here).

Lynch, 30, has not played in the NFL since the 2015 campaign. He figures to be the Raiders’ starting running back this upcoming season after they lost Latavius Murray to the Minnesota Vikings in free agency.
