While some minor injuries came as a result of Monday’s New Jersey Transit derailment, it also left people stranded. One such person was a New York Mets fan trying to get to Citi Field for Opening Day.

Part of his reaction was caught on camera. Needless to say, he was less than pleased.

The fan, identified as Frank Fleming, did make the game. But he was late, missing much of the pageantry that normally comes with Opening Day.

“I didn’t see the first pitch. I don’t even know who threw out the first pitch. I didn’t get to see the national anthem. I didn’t get to cheer Cespedes when they introduced him. I didn’t get to cheer Bortolo Colon’s return,” he said per Adam Warner of NBC New York. “I commute 10 hours to get to and from Citi Field, and they won the game so I guess it’s worth it. … If they would have lost, that would have been just the cherry on top.”

Indeed. We would hate to see how he would have reacted to that.
