Kevin Durant will start Warriors’ final three games

Kevin Durant

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant will return from an MCL sprain on Saturday which had kept him out for the entire month of March. He will start the last three regular season games without a minutes restriction, reports CSN Bay Area’s Ros Gold-Onwude. In lieu of that restriction, Durant’s playing time will be based off how he feels.

This is great news for the Warriors, who are already winners of 13 straight and hold the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Durant can take the last three games of the season, and the first round of the playoffs, to slide back into a grove.

It took the Warriors a couple weeks to adjust to playing without Durant, during which point guard Stephen Curry has carried much of the load, but it’s unlikely it takes that long for the team to adjust back to playing with Durant.

Even so, Golden State now has the time to adjust if need be. Assuming they stay healthy, the Warriors are now unmitigated title favorites if they weren’t already before.
