Jerry Jones on latest Ezekiel Elliott situation: ‘Not good’

Ezekiel Elliott Jerry Jones Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott continues to find himself in the news for all the wrong reasons. The latest incident shows Elliott pulling down a women’s top at a parade in Dallas last month.

This comes on the heels of Elliott being accused of domestic violence multiple times over the past couple years. While Elliott himself has been cleared of wrongdoing by authorities, the NFL is still investigating the matter.

Now, speaking up on the latest incident, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones obviously isn’t too happy with his star young running back.

“There is not much that I want to say other than that was unfortunate and not good,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “It wouldn’t be the right emphasis one way or the other to get into any communications or dialogue since that happened.”

One thing that’s probably flying under the radar here is Jones’ unwillingness to speak publicly about the situation. He’s likely the least shy owner in the NFL when it comes to talking publicly about his team. If he’s not willing to talk, we know the long-time Dallas head is unhappy about the situation at hand.

Elliott received a ton of criticism for his actions during that St. Patrick’s Day parade. Though, there’s really nothing to suggest that he will face discipline from the authorities in Dallas or the NFL itself.

Still, one could conclude that it was an immature move from a star running back that’s already under investigation by the league. That’s likely why Jones seems to be upset here.
