Cowboys WR Shaquelle Evans suspended four games

Cowboys

The suspension bug has come back to bite the Dallas Cowboys once again this offseason. Though, it in no way compares to what we saw with the likes of Rolando McClain, Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence last spring.

Veteran wide receiver Shaquelle Evans has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s policy for substance abuse.

Evans, a fourth-round pick of the New York Jets back in 2014, spent part of last season on the Cowboys’ practice squad. He has yet to see any regular season action in the NFL.

It’s not a big blow for the Cowboys, as they will likely simply move on from Evans prior to the start of the season. Though, it could impact the team’s depth chart at wide receiver and what it will do late in the 2017 NFL Draft.
