WATCH: Set to hit free agency, Adrian Peterson keeping in shape

Adrian Peterson

The Minnesota Vikings did not pick up Adrian Peterson’s $18 million option for the 2017 season on Tuesday, making him a free agent next week.

Despite turning 32 before the 2017 season, Peterson is expected to draw some solid interest on the free-agent market. In talking about his situation, the future Hall of Fame running back had this to say while working out.

“Not on a decline, rather an incline! 32 in a few weeks and still schooling,” Peterson said, via TMZ Sports.”

Peterson keeps in phenomenal shape and seems to always find a way to rebound after a setback. The coming days will likely be spent talking with potential suitors about his future in the NFL. It’s in this that the Oakland Raiders have reportedly shown strong interest in the veteran.
