University of South Florida cornerback Hassan Childs has been suspended indefinitely for his role in an incident over the weekend that left him hospitalized after being shot.

The ordeal, which has been described as a road-rage incident, led to his arrest. Childs is facing three felony aggravated assault charges and one misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession (more on that here).
The redshirt senior has appeared in 20 games for the Bulls since 2013. During his tenure at South Florida, Childs has recorded 28 tackles and three interceptions. He missed the entire 2015 season with a torn ACL.
