Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves game postponed due to unsafe court conditions

Trail Blazers vs. Timberwolves, Target Center

Monday night’s scheduled game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves had to be cancelled and postponed due to unsafe playing conditions.

Players from both teams were concerned about the slippery floor during warm-ups. The court was extremely wet due to condensation because of ice underneath. Disney on Ice was being shown at Target Stadium over the weekend, and the court was laid on top of the ice because of hockey tournaments to be played later in March (more on all that here).

At this time, there is no date set to make up for the cancellation.

The NBA absolutely made the right call to postpone the contest, as there is no reason to put players’ safety at risk.
