Tom Brady got $14 million richer on Friday

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady literally got $14 million richer on Friday.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, Brady received a $14 million deferred bonus resulting from a contact extension he signed with the Patriots last offseason. The total of the bonus is actually $28 million with the first installment of $14 million paying out on March 31.

On top of Brady’s bank account hitting the jackpot, the quarterback’s team has also been hitting the jackpot in free agency. Brady inherited a fantastic wide receiver in that of the young Brandin Cooks during a trade that occurred earlier in March.

His offseason fortune also continued when his stolen Super Bowl jersey was recovered by the FBI.

All things considered, it really doesn’t stink to be Brady. The future Hall of Fame quarterback and five-time Super Bowl champion is entering his 18th year in the league. He turns 40 later this August. Did we mention he has a beautiful wife?
