The Texas Rangers have locked up one of their young stars for the foreseeable future, reportedly signing second baseman Rougned Odor to a six-year, $49.5 million extension.

Odor, 23, put up a splendid 2016 campaign, tallying 33 homers and 70 extra-base hits for the Rangers.
The deal extends him through what would have been Odor’s first two years of free agency.
