Report: Raiders signing former Bills QB EJ Manuel

EJ Manuel

The Oakland Raiders are reportedly going to bring in former Buffalo Bills first-round pick, quarterback EJ Manuel.

Manuel, who was the 16th player taken in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Florida State, started just 17 games for the Bills in four years. He posted a record of 6-11 in those starts, completing 58.3 percent of his passes for 3,502 yards with 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

Buffalo reached in a big way to select Manuel that high, but desperate teams do things like that. He should have a real shot at making Oakland’s roster as a backup to Derek Carr and will compete with Connor Cook for the No. 2 spot this summer.
