Report: Officials seeking to revoke Ty Lawson’s probation

Ty Lawson

Sacramento Kings guard Ty Lawson may be in more trouble with the law.

Lawson is currently on probation stemming from a 2015 DUI, and according to a report, the Denver Probation Department is attempting to revoke the probation thanks to a possible violation.

“Officials would not say what the alleged violation is … but confirmed to TMZ Sports that a bench warrant has been requested so they can bring Lawson to court for a hearing on the matter,” a TMZ Sports report said. “We’re told a judge has not signed off on the warrant at this point.”

Any guesses as to what Lawson allegedly did would be nothing more than pure speculation. The report did say that “some of the requirements of Lawson’s probation — which was scheduled to end on March 22 — included monitored sobriety, 48 hours of community service, 52 hours of therapy and no marijuana use.”

Any probation violation would be bad. Given how close Lawson is to the end of his probation, though, this one may be slightly worse.
