Ronda Rousey to be guest star on NBC’s ‘Blindspot’

Ronda Rousey

While Ronda Rousey’s UFC career remains in limbo, it appears she’s pouring herself into her burgeoning acting career.

The MMA superstar will reportedly be a guest star on the NBC hit show “Blindspot” for an episode set to air in May.

“The UFC legend scored herself a guest role on the hit NBC show ‘Blindspot’ — where she’ll play a tough prison inmate who’s serving time for transporting weapons across state lines,” TMZ Sports reported.

It’s a nice role for Rousey, who’s appeared in a couple major films (“The Expendables 3 and “Furious 7”) and one TV show (Entourage). She definitely fits the role of a “tough prison inmate,” though at this point we’re wondering if she will be able to shake being typecast in the future.

She’s previously been linked to the remake of Patrick Swayze’s “Road House,” though that project was ultimately cancelled, or at least pushed back indefinitely.

Fans of UFC and “Blindspot” will be eagerly awaiting May’s episode featuring Rousey, who appears to have her eyes set on life after fighting.
