Patriots file to trademark ‘Blitz for Six’ and ‘No Days Off’

After winning their fifth Super Bowl in 17 years, the New England Patriots are looking to capitalize on that success with a couple of potentially lucrative trademarks.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell passed along the news that the Patriots have filed trademark requests for the phrases “Blitz for Six” and “No Days Off,” the loud chant started by Bill Belichick during the team’s Super Bowl victory parade last week.

“On Feb. 7, just two days after they won Super Bowl LI for their fifth title, the team filed to trademark the phrase “Blitz for Six,” hoping to use it on clothing, included hooded T-shirts, of course. Patriots coach Bill Belichick is known for wearing Patriots hoodies,” Rovell wrote.

Based on the swollen crowd attending the team’s parade last week, the Patriots will have plenty of customers lining up to purchase their wares.

And unlike many teams that win a Super Bowl, the Patriots are going to make a strong run at repeating in 2017 as long as Belichick and Tom Brady are the men leading the charge. They overcame much this past season to stand atop the NFL’s highest peak and are absolutely loaded with cap space to make some major moves this offseason to improve the roster.
