NFLPA president on Muslim players: ‘I will go stand with them’

President Donald Trump’s immigration policy has been a source of great controversy. Toronto Raptors star Kyle Lowry spoke out against it. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson also commented on the matter. Cincinnati Bengals lineman and NFLPA president Eric Winston is the latest to comment, pledging his support to Muslim players.

A lot more is going to happen around this matter in the coming days, weeks, months and even years.

Regardless of where anyone stands on President Trump or his policies, Winston’s comments are a nice pledge of support to players who may be impacted. The NFLPA takes strange stances at times.

And much like the NFL itself, is often hard to get behind. But Winston is showing that they’re standing together here, which is certainly admirable.
